11/2008   Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute awards major contract on the synthesis of up to 600 genes. The genes will be used to identify mechanisms involved in defined genetic and infectious diseases.
9/2008   Foundation of GENEART Inc. on the U.S. Amercian West Coast to improve customer support in one of the world´s largest biotech clusters in the San Francisco Bay Area.
7/2008   BMBF awards a grant of approximately EUR 0.2M for advancements in targeted protein design of vaccine candidates.
7/2008   US National Cancer Institute (part of the National Institutes of Health - NIH) extends gene synthesis contract by USD 2.7M for 2008.
6/2008   Cooperation with Boehringer Ingelheim to offer system solutions from the design to the production of DNA-based pharmaceutical agents for research, development and clinical trials in every quantity and in highest quality up to cGMP.
5/2008   Technology and distribution partnership with QIAGEN to commercialize optimized, synthetic, mammalian, standard genes via QIAGEN’s web portal GeneGlobe.
4/2008   Award of patent family EP 1240333 “Genome of the HIV-1 inter-subtype (C/B') and use thereof” in Europe and in the United States for successfully tested HIV vaccine in clinical phase I by EuroVacc Foundation. Further clinical Phase I/II studies of the licensed gene sequences have been initiated by EuroVacc in 2008.
